TUPPERWARE!

< prior project      next project >

Blueberry Hill Productions

Emmy Award winning director Laurie Kahn Leavitt's Tupperware! aired on PBS' American Experience in the fall of 2003 to wide acclaim, winning a Peabody Award for Excellence in Broadcasting. Ms. Leavitt approached The Complex earlier that year and asked us to create a companion piece for the film which tells the story of the driving forces behind the early success of the Tupperware company: sales and marketing genius Brownie Wise and the product's inventor Earl Silas Tupper.

The design of the site was inspired by the look and feel of actual 1950's Tupperware marketing materials and many of the photographs and illustrations that adorn the site came from these promotions.

We created a vibrant web destination employing Flash, html and php programming and provided Ms. Leavitt and Blueberry Hill with creative strategy, information architecture, content and copywriting, art direction, graphic design, a content update tool, development and testing. A three-page gallery purveys the original flm press and media kit, large press-ready promotional images and Quicktime clips of scenes.

In addition to the web site, The Complex designed the film's theatrical realease one-sheet poster and video packaging.
