leaving the mission
A s with pre-deployment, it is also important to plan for your departure
from a mission and adjust to returning to your previous home base or
to moving to a new duty station. “Moving On” will usually entail a transition
process for both yourself and your family. Being aware of the factors
involved and taking steps to address them will assist you and your
family through this process.
To support you in understanding and managing the personal changes
which you have gone through and in preparing for other changes you may
encounter in your move, it is strongly recommended that you arrange a
debriefing session with a Staff Counsellor. This should take place either
before you leave the current mission or duty station or immediately after
your arrival at your new assignment, whether this is a new office or a
return to your original home.
